Sea levels are accelerating. 150M people and thousands km² of land will face sea-level impacts by 2050. Meanwhile, more than 80% of global trade moves by sea, while shipping accounts for ~3% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
Biomimicry is the practice of learning from the 3.8 billion years of research and development embedded in life on Earth. It encourages us to draw inspiration from the living world, where every organism is a master of adaptation to its environment. The biomimicry sector can reduce energy and material use by 20–30% across industries while unlocking millions of green jobs. But it needs a proving ground.
The world tour will prototype and promote biomimicry innovations as an unprecedented proof of concept to propel biomimicry to the forefront of the innovation stage. Shifting rapidly R&D and investment toward it.
Gaïarta aims to “transform the tide of rising sea levels into a wave of positive change that harnesses our individual strength and collective vision.”
We are preparing to launch the first Biomimicry World Tour on 25 March 2027. This odyssey, entitled Children of the Tide, is a double core mission.
